It’s a Wonderful Life

Thinking about family this time of year and all the blessings we enjoy because of Jesus birth, life, death and resurrection. We have the promise of eternal life in the midst of all the turmoil and destruction of this world. We have the confidence of our assured salvation and the strength of knowing that we are forgiven.

So many people in this world are driven from place to place,to addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex, money, etc. because they are searching for significance. They have to somehow keep score and win at something to feel significant for a moment. Then perhaps the pain will go but it always returns even stronger than before.

That pain within drives them, overshadowing everything else until it swallows them and suffocates them. They look for relief in a bottle or drugs or if the pain becomes to severe they look for relief staring down the barrel of a gun.

We have the greatest gift of all that we can share in this season. That is the gift of forgiveness. Jesus came, lived, died and rose again so that we may be forgiven. That we no longer have to be driven by all those demonic forces that drive others. We can share the love of Jesus Christ this year.

We can forgive because we have been forgiven. The grace we enjoy and the faith we show by accepting His free gift sets us free from sin and death. We are no longer bound but free. As Paul said it is for freedom that we have been made free.

We have a wonderful life, a life of freedom from bondage to sin. We are free! We are free! We are free. This year share the wonderful life of freedom in Christ with those you meet. It is a wonderful life
